today on air with kenny jones – the gang discovered an amazing advancement in technology. it seems researchers have created a robot that can – wait for it…wait for it – pick up a towel, fold and then stack it.

yes, that’s right, you heard right. the robot can pick up a towel from a pile of laundry, fold it and stack it.

pieter abbeel, assistant professor at the department of electrical engineering and computer sciences at the university of california, berkeley, spoke about the science behind his creation – saying that the video of the new robot has been sped up 50 times. it can complete said process in 20 to 25 minutes.

and yes – that’s per towel

with today’s advancements – shouldn’t we be focusing on creating robots that can complete tasks that are far more important than folding towels? like robots that could:

break dance

play the violin

pick your nose

watch your kids

if it takes a robot 20-25 minutes to pick your nose…count me out. i can get the job done inside of 3 seconds – 7 seconds max!
