It’s musical sounds created by longitudinal vibrations within the Sun’s atmosphere..whatever the hell that is? They have been recorded and accurately studied for the first time by experts at the University of Sheffield. The eggheads over there are shedding light on the Sun’s magnetic atmosphere.
have a look at what “solar music” looks like…

Using state-of-the-art mathematical theory combined with satellite observations, a team of solar physicists from the University have captured the music on tape and revealed the harmonious sounds are caused by the movement of giant magnetic loops in the solar corona — the outermost, mysterious, and least understood layer of the Sun’s atmosphere…i know, i know, it sounds made up. Most importantly, the team studied how this sound is decaying, giving an unprecedented insight into the physics of the solar corona.
Now they’re taking it one step further – they’re cutting an album of all of the solar music’s greatest hits – and its burning up the charts – along with everything else…

it was interesting when they were doin’ it in the name of science, now they’re just tryin’ to turn a quick buck. Perhaps with record sales up that grant money could go to study Cow Burps, the impact of Wet Underwear on Thermoregulatory Responses and Ultrasonic Velocity in Cheddar Cheese…and yeah, that’s a thing!

rick shaw – auto cop!

okay, his name isn’t “rick shaw” but that would have been cool. he’s ramu – a
52 year old autorickshaw driver that moonlights as a traffic cop. he spends five hours every day directing traffic at the busy tvs cross junction at peenya industrial estate. he’s been serving up traffic justice for – wait for it – wait for it…10 years now!
this intersection is chockerblocked with traffic, huge trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, rickshaws, cars and buses – not to mention the 25,000 garment factory staff that make of the pedestrian portion of the jams. but thanks to ramu there’s a bit of order on this roadway. the most amazing part of this story is ramu’s work is totally…
chicks & cricket…do they mix?

we were torn as to whether or not the female species actually brings something to the game or not…and when i say “we” – i mean christabel.
personally i think that the more liz-adies the better! it makes the game more appealing – any sport if you ask me. i might even watch fencing – if there were attractive women doing mat-side reports.
